An ultrasound is a painless, non-surgical procedure that can evaluate the uterus, fallopian tubes and ovaries for common causes of infertility. The ultrasound can identifying abnormal uterine lining, structural defects to the uterus, uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts, fallopian tube abnormalities and confirm that ovulation is taking place.
